When a dental emergency strikes, you don’t want to wait days for an appointment.
At Market Street Dental Care, we understand how painful and stressful dental problems can be, which is why we always aim to see emergency patients on the same day.

Persistent, intense pain that doesn’t go away with over-the-counter painkillers.
This could indicate an infection that needs urgent medical attention.
The sooner you seek treatment, the better the chance of saving the tooth.
If a tooth is fractured, it needs prompt care to prevent further damage.
Bleeding after an injury or dental procedure that doesn’t stop.

Take over-the-counter pain relief like ibuprofen or paracetamol and rinse your mouth with warm salt water.
Avoid applying aspirin directly to the gums, as this can cause irritation.

If possible, gently place the tooth back into its socket and bite down on a clean cloth to keep it in place.
If this isn’t possible, store it in milk or saliva and bring it with you to your appointment.

Rinse your mouth with warm water and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling and inflammation.
Try to save any broken fragments and bring them with you to your appointment.
